Some of the common questions asked about EasyTune

Connecting & Using

- Connection to your vehicle is done via the OBD2 Diagnostic Port on your vehicle using a diagnostic tool
- OBD Ports in Toyota Vehicles are located under the dash below the steering wheel
- No the vehicle must be off and stationairy to flash updates or perform functions
- Yes you do not have to flash your vehicle to make use of our other functions
- Yes you can flash your vehicle back to stock at anytime with the flash recovery option
Stable battery voltage is critical to maintining a good connection to the ecu, we do not recommend flashing your vehicle without a battery charger below 11.5 volts. Should you be concerned about the condition of your battery, we highly suggest a battery charger.
All flashes are completed in under 2 mins in most circumstances, this is ecu generation dependant
We recommend contacting an Authorized dealer or your local service centre to ensure your vehicle is in good mechanical order before flashing it with an upgraded tune
Initial internet access is required to retrieve the datalogging set for your vehicle from the server, this is done upon connecting to your vehicle, afterwards you do not require to maintain internet access to datalog
Yes you require internet access to flash your vehicle
As with any aftermarket hardware modification on the car or any tuning, there is a chance the dealer may refuse or void the drivetrain portion of your warranty. Many dealers are highly tolerant towards modifications and if you don't have one, find yourself a friendly one.

Nothing it is free to download and use
Yes you can connect to as many vehicles as you like, all their details will be stored in your account including their tune files, please note, that any tunes purchased are both vehicle and account linked, so a tune purchased for one vehicle will not appear on another account.
Whilst we can provide a standard original for your vehicle, we currently do not provide any tuning guides or map locations, if you are a professional tuner you can upload your own file, if you are a consumer, we suggest purchasing a tuning from one of our authorised dealers
Currently our go to hardware is the OpenPort Tactrix Cable, however we have J2534 support for most aftermarket cables, contact us if you are unsure

Dealers

Tuning requests can be made after you've connected to your vehicle, look under the tuning request tab to see all our authorized dealers
We encourage all our dealers to fulill tuning requests within a maximum of 2 business days.
yes you can purchase as many files from as many dealers as you like, and change between them as you wish

Compatibility

We have the ability to support all Toyota vehicles from 2007 onwards that communicate via Canbus, the App will automatically detect if your vehicle is currently supported, if not, contact your closest Authorized dealer, or contact us directly at support@easytune.com.au with your vehicle details
Yes you can still tune your vehicle, however we cannot save the tune that is currently on your vehicle.
